Peter's Curse

I play peter's curse on my opponents WoP. Then i start a rescue attempt. My opponent blocks with Red Dragon. I play AotL on Red Dragon. Peter's Curse is discarded from WoP. My opponent discards gates to add PotW to battle. At this point can I band in one of my opponent's heroes into battle?

When Peter's curse is discarded due to a good dom being played, does the ability still work through the end of the turn, or not?

Parts of a SA following a colon on a placed card stop working when the card is no longer placed on that thing.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I would say yeah you could since it is still in the same phase it was discarded. It is still battle phase and that's when it was discarded. Ability CBN so it goes through the phase.

That's incorrect. It's not being negated. When a card is no longer on the place it gets placed on, the ability after the colon stops working.

So basically the colons like that mean once the cost stops working, so does that effect? I am just trying to understand

Basically, yeah. Once you no longer meet the cost before the colon, you no longer get the benefit after it.

I dont agree with this ruling if if it is correct because i feel like you should get the effect after paying the cost. not an ongoing effect but more like an instant effect.
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

The ruling doesn't agree with you, either...  :o

Think of it this way, there are two kinds of costs: instant costs and ongoing costs. In this case, it's an ongoing benefit with an ongoing cost. Once the cost is no longer met, you don't get the benefit anymore either.
