Tournament Rule Idea (perhaps just for Type 2)
What is everyone's feeling about imposing a collective time limit for all searches in a game? For example, you allow 5 or 10 min. for all searching/player in a game. Each opponent has a phone timer with a countdown clock after each search is initiated or just uses a room clock and records the time after each search is completed. I'm trying to find the balance between facilitating effective game play but not complicating things.
I have encountered so many search-heavy decks out there, and despite anti-search counter-measurements there is still a lot of boggy play (perhaps this is a type 2 issue). In my view, this was a big issue for me in Type 2 at the last Nats.
