Would Altar of Dagon stop Ananias of Damascus from converting Saul into Paul?

Altar of Dagon - No Evil Character can be converted. Prevents Holy Grail.

Ananias of Damascus - Negate Sites. Once per game, you may search deck or discard pile for N.T. Saul, play and convert him. Protect Paul from opponents' cards while he is in territory. Cannot be interrupted.

Yep, it protects EC from conversion, so it would stop you from converting Saul while he is in play.
