Saul/Paul

What happens if a generic Convert is used on the "Saul" version of Saul/Paul?  For example, Power of the Cross:

Power of the Cross
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 2 / 1 • Class: None • Special Ability: Convert any human Evil Character in play to a red brigade Hero. • Identifiers: None • Verse: I Corinthians 1:18 • Availability: C Deck (L) and C Deck (UL)

Does he become "Paul" or an 11/10 red Hero Saul?

Any time Saul is converted to a Hero, by any means at all, he becomes the 10/10 multicolor Hero Paul. You don't need to use a specific card like Ananias of Damascus or Blinding Light to do it.

I am trying to put together a White/Grey deck and I want to use Saul/Paul. Does anyone know if there is a card that I can use to convert Saul to either a White Hero or a Multi colored hero that I can use white enhancements.

Any conversion card will do the trick. Holy Grail or any conversion enhancement, or even someone like Ananias of Damascus will do it.

To clarify, ANY conversion card converts Saul to a multi Paul, even if it says "convert to white hero."  That is the nice thing about Saul/Paul.

FYI, the BEST conversion card IMO for Paul is Healing of Naman.  Heals AND converts. :)

When I convert Saul to Paul does he convert instantly or does he convert after the battle? OR do I play the convert card during my preperation phase?

Also when he in Paul can he use any color enhancement? (If I convert him with Healing of Naaman)

the conversion is instant.  The huge advantage of Healing of Naaman is that it can be played out of battle because it is a healing card.

And like I said before, ANY convert card turns Saul into multi Paul, regardless what the convert card says.

Hey,

The huge advantage of Healing of Naaman is that it can be played out of battle because it is a healing card.

It is true that Healing of Naaman can be played outside of battle, but as a healing card, it has to target a character that is heal-able.  You are not allowed to heal a character that is not in need of healing.

Just like you cannot play The Body of Christ on an Ira in your territory to bump him from 8/8 to 11/11, you also cannot play Healing of Naaman on Saul to convert him to a hero, unless he is poisoned, diseased, or being discarded.

(The easy way around this would be to discard Saul from your hand during the discard phase which would make him an eligible target for Healing of Naaman.)

Bingo. I've used that strategy on other ECs simply to gain access when locked out.

I don't understand how this works,  you can't play cards in the discard phase, or so I thought.

Healing enhancements
A healing enhancement has the word “heal” in its special ability. “Heal” special abilities save a character from being discarded and/or remove the effect of all poisons and diseases on a character. You may play a healing enhancement at any time and its special ability activates even if played outside of battle.
