Just out of curiosity, can Samuel search for evil King Saul since it doesn't specify which version to search for?

Samuel: Negate play abilities. You may search deck for King Saul or David and put it in play to draw 2. May band to a male I Samuel Hero. Cannot be negated.

I would say yes, since he is indeed "King Saul"

Christian Soldier is correct, he can. Just be mindful that you can't have both the evil and good King Sauls out at the same time.
