Herod Agrippa the 1st part of SA: Discard James
1. Is this card currently ruled out that you can discard any of the 3 James Hero cards that exist or does it only target Zebedee like the crimson one??
James (half-brother of Jesus)
James son of Alphaeus
James son of Zebedee

See this ruling. (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/herod-agrippa-i-q/msg532368/#msg532368).
Essentially, only cards that represent James, Son of Zebedee can be targeted by this ability.

That's so confusing!
-
It's not really as confusing when you consider that it refers to just one person ;) That one person just happens to have a couple different card names, but has the same ability in the printings being referenced.
It's similar to how David and King David are the same person, but Joseph the Carpenter is not the same as Joseph (the patriarch).

Yea. but they should name which james they are talking about when they playtest the cards.

I understand what you're saying. The latest 'James' print for the brother of John just has his first name (James), which is why that was used. However, you can know which James it is by also looking at the verse, which refers to him as the brother of John (and they were the Sons of Zebedee, also known as The Sons of Thunder (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Sons_of_Thunder_(Di)), mini Bible lesson).

And he has a son of Zebedee identifier.
