My opponent makes a rescue I use Damsel with Spirit of Divination to block. He reveals his hand which contains Saul/Paul. Did he just reveal 8 good brigades or did he only reveal one evil brigade since Saul/Paul is an Evil Character at face value?
Damsel with Spirit of Divination - If blocking, reveal opponent's hand. For each good brigade revealed, draw a card. Cannot be interrupted.

Saul/Paul counts as an evil card for T2 deckbuilding purposes, and always defaults to Saul when played. He's not like curses/covenants/DAEs which can be different things when in deck or hand based on the choice of players. I'd say 1 evil brigade was revealed. But INE.

I agree. At face/value, Saul/Paul is Saul. You cannot search for Saul/Paul with I am Creator.
I would say it's essentially an identifier.
-
I also agree.

agree

For the record, I agree as well but needed to be sure.

So if Damsel reveals a DAE in hand, does the good brigade count or no?
-
DAE's can be targeted in deck and discard pile as both good and evil enhancements so when revealed I would say the person in control of the card that caused the reveal ability would be able to target it as either including the x on damsel.

So if Damsel reveals a DAE in hand, does the good brigade count or no?
Yes, because DAE cards are both good and evil until played. Saul/Paul is a very special case because he always starts out as an evil character.
