What is the/an appropriate way to "random" from territory, hand, deck or reserve, etc...? Examples of card with such an ability below. I am mostly thinking about deck because there are so many cards there to randomly choose so the action to get a true random would take a lot of extra time, especially in T2.

I remembered a 2nd part of this question, if you take a random card from deck, do you shuffle?

Per the REG

"Several cards in Redemption® require a player to select a random card. Prior to selecting a
card from the specified location all cards in that location must first be shuffled regardless of
protection or restriction."

Thanks, so you shuffle before picking and just take the top? No shuffling after the choice?

Correct. Once you discard the top, the rest of the deck is already randomized due to the shuffle, so there's no need to do it again.
