Title: Rescue Attempt

If a battle starts as a rescue attempt and is in some way changed to a battle challenge can that same battle change back into a rescue attempt?

Example
An angel and a human enter battle. The defender is Disbelieving Sadducees. The defender then discards the human making it a battle challenge because no human is in battle. Can the angel then band in a new human and make it once again a rescue?

Disbelieving Sadducees (Di)

Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Black • Ability: 6 / 6 • Class: None • Special Ability: Search a discard pile for X Heroes and remove them from game. Yes and no. The angel would need to play a banding enhancement to band a human in, because special abilities on characters only activate once per battle phase (unless they're interrupted and the interrupt is later negated).

By the angel banding in a new human I mean with an enhancement. The example really doesn't even matter. Can a battle that was a rescue attempt and became a battle challenge ever become a rescue attempt again?
