I make a RA with King Hiram, my opponent blocks with Joel, son of Samuel. He has intiative, he plays Great Image, followed by Coliseum Lions. I play Reach of Desperation, draw three cards, and play Peace Treaty.

Who wins, and why?

You win, you interrpted the discard and then killed him. When it tries to reactivate, it fizzles.

Unless Joel son of Samuel has a s.a. we are unaware of?
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.

What did you choose to do with Peace Treaty?  If you ignore, Hiram survives because Coliseum Lions cannot target him.  If you choose to band, Hiram would still be discarded, but the character you added to battle can still make a rescue.

Hey,

And if you chose to ignore with Peace Treaty the battle wouldn't necessarily be over.  It would just be the defener's initiative with the defender loosing the battle.
