RA with with Alan the Mighty (2011 custom nats hero). I put Dragon Raid into battle. Opponent blocks with Andrew the Mighty (2011 custom nats evil character). I play Reach of Desperation and draw the Far-Country (Luke 15:13) lost soul. Can I place the soul in Dragon Raid? I assume no, but as far as I have seen there is no reason that doesn't work considering two things:
-The rule is that only unoccupied sites can enter battle. I'm not forcing an occupied site into battle, I'm just changing it mid battle.
-Far-Country doesn't specify it has to be in territory
tl;dr: Can I has a soul in battle plox?
Luke 15_13 (Di)
Type: Lost Soul • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: When this card is put in your territory, you may search your discard pile for a Site, put it in play, and place this card in your unoccupied Site. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Luke 15:13 • Availability: Disciples booster packs ()

Currently there's no reason this wouldn't work. I assume a rule will quickly be issued that if a Site becomes occupied while in battle it immediately returns to territory.
-
Fun times. Except I just realized I have to place far country in it, not any soul, so my combo doesn't work anyway.
-
Yeah. Only unoccupied sites can be used for access, so I would assume the dragon raid would return to territory.

Trying to do awesome stuff like using Achan's Sin type things with a soul in battle?

This is a safe assumption :)
-
No rule currently says that. At most it should stop giving access but remain in battle.

Interesting note: Put your Far country in NJ and you would still have access, due to the SA on the card giving the hero access.

It doesn't work, that's why it's so wicked, haha.

No. RA Caleb, steal their site, draw Far Country, trollface. Figured it'd be too much work to remove it considering I'd still have 3 more after Burial/Sog/NJ, and they could also generate souls. Except I realized that doesn't work, so I gave up.
-
So the site goes back. The soul stays beings game rule says souls don't follow sites unless stated otherwise. Is this correct?
Hate to bring this up again, but I'm planning to use this at our next tournament, and although there is no reason it doesn't work I'd like to be able to point to this so I have at least some backing and this would provide a reason to allow it.

You can only put Lost Souls into Sites during your Prep phase...

Far country and Building Egypt disagree. That's the essential part of this combo.
Though you'd have to be pretty lucky to pull Far Country just then.

Ah, I understand now... I was like "Um, that's not gonna work", but now I get it. Lol.

Or Search.

That's what I thought. But how would you remove all cards in battle? Side battles?
-
No one? Well, there is going to be three elders tomorrow, so I might get a ruling there... I'm going to sadface if they find some flaw with it.
