That was always the understanding of myself and many other combo-hunters.

yeah. this caused some conflict at the last tournament, but it's not like it's an artifact. at any time is a really bad wording IMO. it works, but it shouldn't.

Discarding like that is such a steep penalty, I think that's why they left it

Exactly... it's awesome but must be thought about and strategized around to be as effective as it can be.

The wording is perfect.  It does exactly what it says.  You can use it as many times as you want, whenever you want. 

it's not something I would like seeing in the future. I agree that the wording is correct for how it's played, I just don't like how it's played. same as Regardless... I think cards should only be able to be used once per phase.

It isn't perfect because it suggests you can play it even when a card is activating.

But that would be violating a game rule, so it's not a problem.
