Glory of the Lord says to discard this card if Asherah Pole is activated in Solomon's Temple, but according to the REG, A-pole is not a temple artifact. Is this an error?

Glory of the Lord (Ki)

Type: Lamb • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Place in territory. Holder's Solomon's Temple and the artifact in it cannot be discarded or negated by an opponent. Discard this card if Asherah Pole is in holder's Solomon's Temple. • Play As: Place in territory. Holder’s Solomon’s Temple and the Artifact in it cannot be negated. Protect holder's Solomon's Temple and the Artifact in it from discard by an opponent. Discard this card if Asherah Pole is in holder’s Solomon’s Temple. • Identifiers: None • Verse: II Chronicles 7:1 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Ultra Rare)

From the REG on Temple Artifacts
NOTE: Several items may be periodically found in the temple, but are not considered part of this category (e.g., Asherah Pole (Ki), Priestly Breastplate (CL), Priestly Breastplate (CU) or Priestly Breastplate (Pi), Priestly Crown (E), Urim and Thummim (Pi)

When GotL was printed, Asherah Pole, Blue Tassels, Priestly Crown, and Priestly Breastplate could go in temple.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

No, it is just a situation that can't happen, Glory still works, and if there is ever a card that forces Asherah Pole to activate in Solomon's Temple it could matter.
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.

I wasn't around, but I've been told that there used to be a rule where you could activate your Asherah Pole in your opponent's Solomon's Temple.

Nope. That was never a thing. You used to be able to activate it in your own Solomon's Temple, but never your opponent's.

2 Kings 21:7
He even set a carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever;

2 Kings 23:4
And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the temple of the LORD all the articles that were made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.

I mean, we have Mr. Epiphanes in the game after all.   ::)

The Redemption definition of "Temple Artifact" is only those permanent, God-sanctioned furnishings. If Phinehas had happened to be eating a burrito one day in the outer court, Burrito Grande would not suddenly become a Temple Artifact.

Reading that not only made me hungry, it also gave me an idea for a card:

Chipotle
-Holds 1 character, X=# Characters in your territory owned by another player-
"Each upkeep, you may discard a card from hand matching the brigade of the character here to search draw pile for up to X enhancements."

If you don't understand the reasoning behind X, I'll give you a hint: it's not very politically correct, but is very true.

If you have never heard of/been to Chipotle, I feel for you.

True.  It is not a Temple artifact.  But if I found it in Solomon's Temple, Burrito Grande would be on my fortress (and probably leaving beans and cheese all over it).

I know this topic has been discussed time and time again.  But consider me the Minister of Ruling Incongruences.  I squeak whenever I get the chance.  ;)

Mole > Chipotle    ;D
