Discard Discrepancy

okay lets say I am in battle with my opponent (1 EC vs 1 H) and he lays an enhancement that discards my Hero in battle. Can I still lay a card like Aaron's Rods that discards all evil enhancements in battle, will that keep my character in battle? Im not sure because it does not negate the discard ability so Im assuming my hero would be discarded meaning there is no hero to lay Aarons rods onto.

Second scenario: I have two heroes banded into battle against my opponents EC. My opponent lays down a discard one hero in battle enhancement. I am still left with one hero in battle. If I would play Aaron's Rods at this point and discard my opponents discard hero card would this bring my discarded hero back into battle or would he still be discarded. Ive been assuming that my hero would still be discarded because my opponents discard ability was never negated. Am I on the right track, or making a fool of myself? haha

1) If it said interrupt and then discard then yes it would negate but just simply discarding it doesn't negate the ability.

2) Same as 1.

Yeah, discarding something does nothing to stop its ability. Best example: using Christian Martyr on Captian of the Host does not stop his FBTN ability.
