I thought of "start another game of redemption with different decks" winner of that game gets a rescued soul from their opponent
Soon:
"Day three of Nationals. Both players are at six souls. The winner of this game will rescue the game winning soul in the previous game - if it's Player X, then that'll be the winning soul for that game, bringing both players to a tie at 4 in the game before that. Hopefully, once this game is over we can begin working our way back up the table toward the original game - in six of the eleven games between these two both Redemptions have been played, but in the other five we can assume one player still has theirs left.
Uh oh, looks like Player Y played his Redemption. Both players are moving down a seat and pulling out their next deck. We'll be back later with the first game of Nats once they're done shuffling."
