Redeeming Doubt

A few of us at Nats were thinking if it was possible to redeem doubt being its not a demon.

Attack with random red hero (doubt being in play) play Baggage and capture doubt then play SoG on doubt. So is the legal play? We asked an elder and he never really gave us a yes or no answer.

Baggage (Pr)

Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Red • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Take any Evil Character prisoner and place in your Land of Bondage. Character is treated as a Lost Soul. • Play As: Capture any Evil Character and place in your Land of Bondage. Character is treated as a Lost Soul. • Identifiers: OT, Based on Prophecy, Depicts a Weapon • Verse: Ezekiel 12:4 • Availability: Prophets booster packs (Rare)

Doubt (Pi)

Type: Grim Reaper • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Place in any territory. When played, this card becomes an orange brigade 0/12 Evil Character until end of turn. • Play As: Place in any territory. When played, convert this card to an orange brigade 0/12 Evil Character until end of turn. • Identifiers: Generic OT Genderless (not Human, not Demon) • Verse: Deuteronomy 28:66 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Ultra Rare)

I don't see any reason this wouldn't work. Good find.

What about redeeming The Serpent and Leviathan as they would share the (not Human, not Demon) identifiers?

I just dont understand how you can redeem The Serpent or Leviathan and not a demon? Just because it doesn't step on some toes? Animals can be redeemed?
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

Theologically, no. According to the current game rules, yes. I'm not sure if you've noticed but not everything in Redemption is 100% theologically accurate. ;)

On the way home, Randall, Bret, and I discussed the possibility of rescuing two of them with a SoG/NJ combo. It would only be possible in Multi, but the idea is that two people put down Doubt in their territory right before somebody else blocks with Women as Snares. It would never be coincidental, but is still a fun idea to wrap one's mind around.

One question that did come up though- When in the LoR, would Doubt become a dead card or a permanent rescue?

Doubt is genderless so Women as Snares doesn't capture it.

Permanent rescue. Once a card is in the LoR, it cannot be removed except by Falling Away. If someone were to use FA on it, I would rule that based on FA's wording, Doubt would be a Lost Soul but not a captured character (assuming the turn had past).
