Which hero gains this ability, or do both?

Rebekah meets Isaac (Pa)

I know this is seemingly insignificant, but it happened in Booster Draft.

Based on the wording, both.

I agree. The play as should read: Rebekah gains the ability "May band to Isaac" and Isaac gains the ability "May band to Rebekah". If only one of the two are in play at the time, then only that one gains the ability, but if they are both in play, they both gain the ability.

That's awesome that it happened in Booster Draft. Gotta love booster!

I do love booster! 

The really fun part was that my awesome combo had to face two Emperor Neros and a Prince of this World. 

And that's what I don't like about booster.  The other tables always get the UR's.
