Title: RBD vs. JT
Post by: BubbleBoy on September 14, 2010, 10:34:09 PM
Where are the cards revealed by Rain Becomes Dust when they are revealed? Are they in hand or in deck? If in deck, then Jerusalem Tower will protect them from being revealed and discarded, right?

Maybe we need to sort out how "instead" works before this can be answered?

There was a ruling similar to this, though I forget what about, and I think it was ruled that the cards would be revealed and then returned to deck.

Looks like, since they haven't been drawn yet, they're still in the draw pile.

Revealing doesn't change the location. I'm too lazy to look up JT's SA so I'm not going to comment any further.

This is correct. JT doesn't stop your opponent from revealing cards, or the drawing from being insteaded. It merely stops the discard. Thus, The cards are revealed instead of drawn, and they return to where revealed cards return to as the default, which is the lcoation from which they were revealed.

I'm disliking JT more and more...

High Places and Spreading Mildew will take care of it just fine in your Gold deck discard deck. Besides, with the popularity of Four-Drachma Coin and Simon the Zealot, I haven't JT that much, even after it got better.

I don't use mildew because fortresses are very rare in my playgroups

New playgroups, just starting out.  Fortresses are one of the last things to make their way into a noob's deck.

Hey,

Fortresses are one of the last things to make their way into a noob's deck.

Apparently I build decks like a noob.

Not like that....
More like how a deck evolves as one buys more packs and expands one's collection.

The new sites are quite overpowered. I remember when i first started out i would have to play 63-70 card decks just so all my fortresses would fit. Table of Demons + Tartaros FTW!

Since everyone is playing Caesarea Phillipi wouldn't it just be better to play without sites?

You go ahead and do that....the rest of us will just continue to play with our sites over here...
