random ruling questions

1. If Player A plays Gideon's call ( parts of SA: reveal the top 9 cards of opponent's deck and underdeck the rest) and targets Player B's deck , which player underdecks the rest of the cards??

1.1 Can the cards be underdecked in any order a player chooses?

2. In a type 1 game with no rescuer's choice what if Player A went for a RA against Player B with a Hero with site access.

Player B has 3 Lost Souls in their territory with one of the Lost souls being in a site (example Jericho draw 1 or reveal opponent's hand)

 Can Jericho's SA activate?

3. Is it true that while a hero is in a RA can they bring a site (like dragon Raid) into battle from their territory at anytime during the battle??

1. and 1.1 The player who played Gideon's Call chooses the order of the underdecked cards.

2. I'm a little iffy on how the sites with "when an opponent begins a rescue attempt at this site", or similar, actually work but I believe that the ability only activates if the Hero has access to that site. So if the Hero doesn't have access to teal sites (or whatever brigade Jericho is if it isn't teal) then Jericho doesn't activate. Not 100% sure on this one.

3. Yes. Sites can be added (and removed, I believe) from battle anytime (except during the resolution of a special ability).

For Number 2, I believe you can only activate one (if you have more than one in territory) per battle and if your opponent wins, you must give a LS held within that site. If the site doesn't have a LS, or if the hero does not have access than you can not use the ability.

1. To expound, by default the player 'doing the revealing' is the one who chooses the order when returning revealed cards.  In this case, it is the controller of Call because it has an implied 'you' for the reveal.  The Revealer soul, on the other hand, says "each opponent reveals..." which means that they are the ones who choose the order during placing.  Hope that makes sense for the general rule to apply.

2. This one is more complex than meets the eye, as browarod alluded to.  Anything that checks "During a rescue attempt of this soul/at this site" looks at any soul that could be rescued as part of the RA.  Basically, if the soul could be given if the rescue were successful, then it is an RA for that soul, and 'at the site' in the case of cards like Jericho.  With Rescuer's Choice, that is only one soul, but otherwise it can be any number of them.

The thing is, however, that this says "at the start of a rescue attempt at this site," which actually means immediately after all heroes have been presented and their abilities/triggered abilities activate.  This is an automatic trigger that is waiting for all of that to resolve so that it can complete.  It keeps looking through the process of hero abilities activating, and then determines the state at the end of all of that.  If after all hero abilities activate there is access, then it goes off.

So, if Isaiah enters battle with his Call on him, then by the time Jericho checks, he has access to any soul there.  If no priest is in play, and Jericho is occupied, then things happen.

However, if any hero enters and does not gain access as a part of 'beginning a rescue attempt', then Jericho checks, finds the condition is not true, and does not complete.  It is done.  Even if a site is added later on, Jericho is finished checking, and therefore nothing happens (even though there is now access).

To Praeceps' point, there is no limit to the number that can be activated in one turn, so long as the condition is met on each.  You also do not have to surrender a soul in that site, you may surrender any soul they have access to.  The only part of the condition is that the soul there could be rescued.

3. I do not know of any way you can remove a site from battle without an ability.  You may add them from territory at any point during battle, but they cannot be removed short of an ability to my knowledge.

Well, except for the fact that Call negates Sites as well. :P

Huh, guess I was wrong. I thought that as long as they were optional abilities, choosing to use one was akin to choosing to use an artifact in your prep phase (i.e. drawing off gifts after playing MtM): you have now narrowed done your choices by doing so.

If that were true, then sites like these would essentially allow the defender to have a sort of "Blocker's Choice" about what soul could be rescued that battle, which isn't the case.  You can surrender any soul the opponent has access to, and the only person who can limit it beyond what is normally limited by game rules and abilities (sites, protect on LS, etc.) is the Rescuer, if using Rescuer's Choice.
