Cymbal of the Levites

Say I attack with Chenaiah.  Opponent uses Philistine Outpost to pull out Philistine Garrison.  I play Cymbal of the Levites to negate Philistine Outpost.  What happens? does the Garrison return to deck, leaving me blocker-less or what?

Yes you could. It has to be used in the battle phase because of the "When attacked". Its evil, Cymbal can hit it. Okay Let me clarify, UNLESS he discards PO for its ability (which is RARE) you can negate it. PG then goes to wherever it was before. Also to DMM, He is hurting chen, in fact at this point chen is dying. As said, he gets a cookie.

Thanks so much  :)  that made my day.

Oh and if their territory is barren, attack with ethan and do it again, granted they pull out a character from the deck.

Of course. I won't mention a gathered ET+Aoc would do that nicely though.

I believe your opponent would get another chance to block (but could not use PO, since it is negated). Negating PO makes it as if it was never used, and PO was never legally able to block, and thus your opponent never actually blocked, and thus he can now block your rescue.

Either that, or you just found a way to ruin a Philistine player's life.

Heres the catch though.

PO doesnt add a character to battle. It just adds the character to their territory. Thus, you never negate their BLOCK. That is still the players own action.

But negating PO negates their ability to legally block with Garrison. So up until that point of the battle, your opponent has not made a legal block. I think...

Does removal by indirect negation proffer special initiative?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

It seems to me that it should/would except that Cymbal of the Levites is CBN.  That's why I think this works.

If I Made a musician offense, I would be sure to get King David, King Solomon, and Royal Parade in there, but that's just me. :)

Here's an updated version of a musician offense that did pretty well for me before TxP:

Asaph
Chenaniah
Ethan
Heman
   Cymbals of the Levites (Musical)
   Words of Encouragement
King David
King Solomon
   AoCP
   Reach
Royal Parade (Musical? It has David dancing and trumpets blowing, but I can't remember the conclusion on its musicalness...I guess it doesn't make a difference in this offense though...)
Angel in the Path
Angel at Shur
Captain of the Host
   Protection of Angels (Musical)

   The Stars (Musical)

Musicians' Chamber

I'm wondering why king solomon?  I just want to stick to two brigades of offense.
I was playing a game yesterday against nathan voigt and he said that if I negated PO with CotL they could block again.  I need it settled: Do they get to block again if I negate the fortress or not?

Aside from the fact that Chenaniah can band to him, he can also look at your opponent's hand and search for Musician's Chambers, as well as WoP or any other OT fort you might use for defense. He's even more useful than King D...

Well then, I would definitely make that second brigade Purple, but adding a little silver can be a big help, too.

when I used Musicians, I had
Asaph
Ethan
Heman
Kenny
King Amazing
Moses
Angel in the Path

Protection of Angels
Transfig
Covenant of Moses
Moses and the Elders
Words
Cymbals
Sing with Stringed Instruments

that's what I remember. it worked pretty well. I don't have a King David, so...but paired with a deck discard defense, it was beast.
