Raiding the Land that the Dragon Promised me...

Not really a ruling question, but I just wanted to know how Dragon Raid is really used.  I just thought it was a nice site access sort of thing, but I don't see many people use it so I was just curious.  I know Promised Land is (For most characters) only a 2 use card, but I was just wondering about DR, because my KoTW has a site icon and I was quickly informed that it is indeed a fortress (Although it wasn't always the case).

Dragon Raid is actually a multicolored access site that can be used unlimited times with any character.

This is correct. The reason it is not used as often as Promised Land is that most people who use Sites use Pergamum, which doesn't allow you to use Dragon Raid when it is occupied. If it wasn't for Pergamum, Dragon Raid would be most often used of access sites. Some people still use it, and deal with Pergamum other ways.

if Promised Land's ability was negated, would it be able to be used an extra time?

Alright, cool.  I was just making sure that it wasn't also some type of fortress or something because it seemed like a good back-up site-access card.

I don't believe so. It's the same principle as Burial Shroud being negated by Covenant With Moses. I'm not entirely sure of the rationale though.

How exactly would you negate Promised Land's ability?

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you:

The Florida State tournament has been moved from my house to 402 Simpson Road in Kissimmee. The sign says "Osceola County Jail," but we're just renting the place for the weekend. When you get there, first pass the barb-wired fence, and then go up to the guard post. My playgroup created these cool Redemption shirts just for the tournament. So, when the guard asks you why you're there, just tell them you are with the guys wearing orange.

See ya there!

I believe that crazy brown and orange enhancement from either FOOF or ROA (I forget...) can negate the special ability of sites.

(Don't quote me on that, I don't know my cards very well and I haven't taken the extra 5 seconds to look it up)

Sooo...... you negate the SA of Promised Land to gain unlimited site access using a hero who already has access to all sites?

Sooo...... you negate the SA of Promised Land to gain unlimited site access using a hero who already has access to all sites?

There's actually strategic value to doing that.  If you have a band that includes the Centurion and then your opponent removes him from battle, your other banded Heroes still have access via Promised Land without taking up a use.  But nobody plays red and it doesn't have very much banding...
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

Doesn't Promised Land grant site access via its SA, "Hero gains access to any site."?

Yes. But they also have access by virtue of the site being multicolored. Negating its SA doesn't change the fact that it can be used like any other site.
