Impact of a "Negate All" Enhancement

I would like some clarity on how a Negate All enhancement is handled when it is added in the middle of a battle. Here's an example:

1. I play Dream ("You may interrupt the battle, draw 3 and play an enhancement.")
2. I draw 3 cards. One of the cards I draw is Midianite Attack.
3. I play Midianite Attack ("All special abilities except banding on characters and enhancements except this one are negated.") I understand this to be a Negate All enhancement.

My understanding is that it should be played as follows:

Midianite Attack negates Dream. So the three cards I drew must be returned back to my draw pile. Midianite Attack then leaves the battle and goes back to the draw pile. But, the battle is now by the numbers. (The effect if Midianite Attack lingers, even though it is now back on my draw pile.

Do I understand this correctly?

You can't unplay enhancements. The two you got from Dream that are still in your hand would go back, but Midianite attack would stay in battle.

ok I draw 2 cards off of 2Khorses and play Sitc(that i drew). Opponent plays Baptism of Jesus. What happens to Sitc?

If they played BoJ on a NT prophet, they could discard SitC with its second ability, otherwise just the drawing of 2KH is negated and the non-SitC card would go back to the top of your deck.

my opponent said that since i drew sitc with the 2khorsies and they were negated that it was indirectly negated and go back on top of deck- is this not correct?

It used to be the case (and may still be, but I don't know) that negating a drawing ability returned all cards drawn with it, unless they were CBN and had already been played.

Is the rule "you can't unplay enhancements" or "you can't interrupt initiative"?  The former effectively makes all cards stick in battle, while the latter would return all drawn cards if the draw was negated.

For reference, I'm not the slightest bit confident in my answer. That's just how I've always played it, and it hasn't been important in a game yet so I haven't asked.

I understand it as "you can't unplay enhancements" so any enhancement played sticks and isn't taken back for indirect or direct negation.

Just for clarity, that does not make all cards stick because there is no similar rule for characters, sites, etc.  If those were drawn and played, and the draw was negated then those cards will go back, (I'm fairly sure).

All "play an enhancement" abilities are CBI.  So SitC stays, even if 2kh drawing is negated. 

Now if you could negate SitC's ability with a card during that battle (Eli's Sound Advice, etc), the "place" ability would be negated and it would return to battle negated.

I disagree with this analysis. Is it stated somewhere in the REG or the rule book that "You can't unplay enhancements"?

Rather, this section from the REG seems to speak exactly to my original question:

If a “play by the numbers” card is searched, found, and played, it negates the search card and must be returned to the pile.  Because the search is negated, the abilities (*/*) of the “play by the numbers” card retrieved go away.  However, the “negate all...” special ability stays.  The battle remains by the numbers.

Back to my original question, I think I have the correct interpretation:

fbtn is limited to the field of battle unless it states otherwise.  Sitc is in territory so it would be unaffected

but I wouldnt worry about sitc anymore since it has been neutered
