Question about hand revealing

So I know when an ability like Persistent Pestering (Opponent must underdeck 2 good cards from hand) is played and the opponent has no good cards to underdeck, that player must reveal their hand. My first question is: does this count as a reveal ability?
Secondly, if it does not count as a reveal ability, what about cards like I Am Holy that include the hand revealing part on the card itself? Is it treated as a reveal ability or a game rule clarification?

The first scenario is not a "reveal ability" since it is a game rule. For I am Holy, things get sticky, since it is actually written on the card and is therefore technically part of the SA. We almost have no choice but to rule it as a "reveal ability."  :-\

We could say that the second part of I am Holy is just old word clarifying text...
Just one more thing...

In some circles the rule that requires you to reveal your hand is called the "I Am Holy rule". There's some who believe that it was a rule at one time but we could not find documentation to prove it so we added it to the REG.

If I needs to rule on it at an event is have to say that IaH has a reveal ability. Persistent Pestering does not since it's the game rule that causes the reveal and not directly linked to the text on the card.

I would disagree with that, just given the fact that we have a rule now specific to this situation, and similar old cards have been ruled to be "clarifying text" when there is a default rule being described that would happen anyway.  If we rule those other abilities to have that clarifying text in those cases, it would apply here too now that it is the rule (since those other cases are not "by the card" either).

I thought the clarifying text thing only applies to Apostles cards and beyond.

I Am Holy reads to me like the discard happens, then if a condition is met there's a reveal.

What's the downside to getting rid of the "clarifying text" class of mass errata and letting them do what they say?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
