1. I have a lost soul that says ( If a Hero withdraws from a rescue attempt against holder place this card beneath owner's draw pile.) lets say my friend goes for a rescue with seraph and that is the only lost soul. I block with Goliath and he returns to territory is this lost soul placed beneath deck.

There was no question in there, and yes, the soul would go beneath deck and the RA would fail.
