I'd rather not explain why I want to do this, but here is my simple question.

Can Protection of Jerusalem target a fortress in set aside?

Protection of Jerusalem
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Silver • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Set aside two silver brigade Heroes. Holder chooses one Fortress site that cannot be discarded while Heroes are set-aside. When Heroes return to territory, discard set-aside. • Play As: Set aside two silver brigade Heroes. Holder chooses one Fortress to protect from discard while both Heroes are set-aside. When one or both Heroes return to territory, discard set-aside. • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon • Verse: II Kings 19:35 • Availability: Patriarchs booster packs (Common)

I'm pretty sure the card your trying to abuse is a Cost / Gain scenario, so this wouldn't let you use it infanite times  :P.

Wouldn't you only be able to choose a fortress in play anyway?

I don't think he was talking about TGoH anyway, because he's too smart for that. ;) I suspect he had a Potter's Field combo in mind.

Not preblock ignore. Something better. I will not leak it so don't try.  ;)

I just needed to find a way to stop gates from adding people into battle. >.>

I have a few other ways, but I had to ask if this worked.

Hey,

To answer the question.  Protection of Jerusalem can only protect a Fortress that is in play.  Fortresses that are set aside are not valid targets.

Since I've already said my intent, and it doesnt work...

Would I be allowed to protect another players fortress from discard? Examples include... my teammates fort, the fort of a someone who is about to loose in Multi, my opponents Philly Outpost, etc...

Seems this would work since the default is in play. I suppose you could protect an opponent's Garden Tomb that you were using more effectively than he was... (I actually did discard my own Garden Tomb once because that was the only chance for my opponent to get past my defense and I had plenty of other offense.)
Fortress Alstad
Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?
