Cheif Priest's Offer.

Chief Priests' Offer (Di)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Black • Ability: 3 / 0 • Class: Territory • Special Ability: If used by a Sadducee, give your opponent a N.T. Artifact from hand, territory, or Artifact pile to take an opponent's human Evil Character.

Two questions:

Does it have to be my artifact from hand, territory or artifact pile? (mostly asking about territory).

What is the definition of give? I'm assuming it goes to opponent's hand.

When a card specifies a location without any pronouns, possessives or articles (such as "deck" or "territory" as opposed to "a deck" or "opponent's territory") then it always means the location belonging to the person who controls the card. For example, Gates of Hell says "you may discard the bottom card of deck", clearly you can only target your own deck with it. So it has to be from your hand, territory, or Artifact Pile, no one else's.

I don't think "give" has a Redemption definition (yet--but I suppose it should), but logically it would go to opponent's hand, since opponents can't place Artifacts anywhere else during your turn, or during battle.

What about giving them an artifact that is in your territory but not your artifact?  Like a Magic Charms or Priestly Breastplate on a character that was exchanged into your territory.

If it was your opponent's artifact, I don't know if that would count as giving it to them since it was already theirs but what about in multiplayer games?  If I give player B's artifact to player A, it would be giving them a new artifact even though it wasn't mine.

The default only applies to locations, not also being "your" cards, right?

As long as the artifact is in your hand, territory, or artifact pile you can give it with CPO's ability. It doesn't have to be an artifact you own, just one you control.

I agree. So for example, if someone used their CPO vs. you then you could give back the artifact they gave you for yours.
