Are they Magicians? They performed ritual in an attempt to contact a demon, so wouldn't they fall under the Magician heading in Redemption?

This is a thread, where a tenative list of Magicians was proposed.
When the official definition was released about a month ago, I asked if this was going to be the official standard/list, and got no response.
