If enhancements without special abilities used by Samson (P) gain double value, how would that work if he gained the toss ability???


[Samson (P)]  All good gold enhancements without special abilities double in value unless a female Evil Character is in battle.

Enhancements only can gain name-on-name bonus if played in battle. Since enhancements in a tossed battle are not played but discarded from hand instead, name-on-name bonus cannot be applied.

That would be true, but he means Samson's ability, not any name-on-name bonus.

name on name would work the same as his ability in this case so it would not gain double numbers. i think.

Back to the actual question (which is not about NoN), I  would think they would still double. Just realize that an enhancement printed with a SA would not count, even if the ability cannot be used.

That doesn't help, since Samson specifies good gold enhancements.

Toss uses the face value of the enhancements, so Samson should work the same as NoN.  Just feels cleaner since the increasing enhancements don't activate.

This is the correct answer.  Toss uses the face value, and tosses the card rather than playing it.  Samson only works on enhancements that are played (put in play and activated for numbers and/or ability), so it does not apply here.

Samson does not double the value if Tossed.
