If I am blocking and I play Preemptive Strike (or if say I make a rescue attempt with Zecharias, Father of John with Gabriel in play) and then play a battle-winner, does my opponent have a chance to negate it with a regular enhancement? Does the prevent ability practically make the battle-winner uninterruptible by non-CBN enhancements?

Yes, they are pratically unegatable, unless they already had a FBTN hero in battle. Josh HP + Zeal etc can get through.

If they have 2 interrupts/negates the second one would work.

I disagree, because If he plays the battle winner, then the opponent has the chance to interrupt it. If he can't then he is discarde/captured etc. He can't ever use the second interrupt because the first one didn't/couldn't hit. We had a similar discussion at MN state and it was ruled this way.

It has been previously ruled on the boards (in fact, you were part of the thread) that someone can interrupt the battle twice.  As long as they're playing interrupts, they can use another one, even if the first is prevent, as it still was an interrupt card.

Yes, and I agree with that as long as the first enhancement interrupts the battle. But in this scenario even if it is an "interrupt" it didn't actually interrupt the battle.

Thats like saying that you play Net and capture me, so in response I play AoCP to discard you. It makes no sense to me.

The scenario about multiple interrupts has always assumed that the first card played must interrupt, then you can do anything, then interrupt again. When you are being Discarded, you get a chance to interrupt. If you can't play a card that can interrupt, that ought to be it. Otherwise there really wouldn't be anything preventing you from playing whatever, as long as you plan to play an Interrupt somewhere down the line.

Hey,

If the next enhancement is prevented you would need a cannot be prevented or cannot be negated interrupt to interrupt the battle winner.  Simply having two interrupts would not help you because....

When you are losing by removal you have initiative but you can only play an interrupt or negate that interrupts or negates the ability that is causing you to be losing by removal.

If your interrupt is prevented then it doesn't interrupt what's causing you to be losing by removal and thus cannot be played.

The italicized part is not clearly stated in the rulebook, but has been established by precedence over the years.
