Title: potiphars wife question and archer question
Post by: EYES_on_ZION on November 21, 2011, 09:50:16 PM
So my friend sends in a 6man red banding chain none that protect from capture and he deacticated blue tassels which would protect from capture. I send in egyptian archer and band to potiphars wife and play failed objective. I have to questions:
1. Since I played failed objective which kills all of my evil character in battle to protect my souls from rescue isn't that considered a defeat? If so potiphars wife should capture all six to opponents land of bondage right because the rule book defines defeat as a successful block.
2. When I sent archer I sniped a character in his territory with the cost of him being discarded at end of battle but failed objective killed him so does his snipe still go through?
Noob questions I know but I just want to make sure because I'm teaching a new player. Thanks

1.) I think the EC has to survive for it to be considered a successful block. defeat.
2.) The snipe still goes through.  The "discard at end of battle" is an ongoing ability, so if you were to interrupt the battle, and ended it (Say, Horses -> Forgetting Something), the archer wouldn't be discarded.

I think the EC has to survive for it to be a defeat (which is Potiphar's Wife's condition).  It should still be a successful block.

Fixed, thanks for pointing that out.
