Judas' Plot in Set-Aside

If a character with Judas' Plot is set aside, does the dominant-insteading power still apply? I couldn't find anything in the REG to suggest one way or another, just that "The paired ability [of a Place card] provides some benefit when or while the card is placed." and "An ongoing ability paired with a place ability has an implied condition of 'while the placed card remains in the placed location.'"

Also, I'm almost positive on this, but a placed Judas' Plot doesn't provide its 2/2 abilities to the attached EC in battle, right?

Judas' Plot: "Place on your N.T. human Evil Character: If an opponent's good Dominant rescues or discards a card, discard this Enhancement instead to place that Dominant under deck. Protect bearer from conversion."

I'm pretty sure I remember a thread where it was ruled you can still use Magic Charms if the Magician is set aside, so I don't see why you couldn't still use Judas' Plot's instead as well.

Correct: numbers on placed cards do not count for or against the character the card is on.

Abilities target in play, but they don't have to be there to be used.  However, if one used Nebby's Pride, you could not use the ongoing ability, as it has been interrupted for four turns.

Regarding browarod's Magic Charms:

Player A is a noob who uses TGT and he attacks with Salome gathered to ET, and plays "He is Risen" before the battle. He sets aside 10 of his ECs for 10 turns, one of them being Astrologers with Magic Charms on them.

1.) Can he then capture his own heroes with Magic Charms? My instinct is no.
I'm pretty sure an Artifact in set-aside cannot be active by game rule, though I don't know of any explicit rule that says that. So I would say no, but would need to do some research before citing a reason why. I know that inactive artifacts must be face down, and if you set aside an artifact with SWS it doesn't become active, so I guess that's kind of a reason.

Hey,

it seems confusing to me as a host to explain that artifacts dont work in setaside areas and place cards do

Artifacts do work in set aside.

Tschow,

Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly

More input on this please? If Tim doesn't want me throwing his thread off topic, I can make my own  :-*

Not sure, who that Professoralstad character is, but I'd say he's wrong, albeit probably a really smart and handsome fella. Apparently I never did the research, and I don't think I ever came up with a good reason why a previously activated artifact that is set-aside could not remain active, so it seems like it should be. Especially because I don't wanna disagree with Nobody.
