Play an enhancement question(Territory/Oasis)

Okay so the "Oasis" symbol which after reading through some of the REG is the "Play an Enhancement" symbol and in REG is basically this --> A play an enhancement ability allows a player to play an enhancement outside of the normal rules for initiative.

Now I know with the I/J starters these were all mainly on non-character cards (i.e. mainly enhancement only cards), but I noticed for instance that "Children of Light" a multi-brigade good character has this "Oasis" already on the card near the top.  Does this mean that if I place this character into my territory during my "preperation or "discard" phase, that I can automatically activate the ability on that card, and carry it out immediately?  Just like I would with a territory enhancement card?

Example card:
Children of Light - Protect good Enhancements on this Hero from opponents. If you place a good Enhancement on this Hero, you may draw 1. Cannot be negated by a good card.

The Oasis symbol means Territory Class, which is covered in the Glossary, with separate entries for Enhancements and Characters.  For characters, it's not you can activate it, they activate immediately (barring any that require it to be in battle/blocking/etc.) and tend to be ongoing abilities like protect, negate, or waiting for a trigger (like the draw on Children of Light).

Also, it's definitely not a "Play an Enhancement" ability - more like an identifier, like Warrior/Weapon Class and the Cloud symbol.

Territory Class Enhancement
Territory Class Enhancements can be played in battle in the same way as normal enhancements, or they can be played by a character in your territory during your preparation phase or discard phase. If played outside of battle, they are discarded when their special ability is complete, unless otherwise specified. Territory Class Enhancements are distinguished by a tan icon with a tent and palm trees below the icon box.

Territory Class Character
Territory Class characters have abilities that activate when placed in battle in the same way as all other characters.  The abilities also activate each time the character is placed in a territory.  Territory Class character abilities that are active outside of battle are active while the character remains in the territory. Territory Class Characters are distinguished by a tan icon with a tent and palm trees below the icon box.

(And why are these 2 entries in reverse alphabetical order in the REG?)

Thanks, I have yet been able to read the entire 200 page REG.  I am trying to read it as things come up.  Thanks again!

No worries! The REG is a daunting codex that is more useful for proof than learning. Asking questions is, however, a wonderful way to learn!
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

So it means that if you negate a territory class character in a territory his ability would only reactivate if he leaves and re-enters territory?

Territory-class characters reactivate every time they enter battle OR enter territory.

For example, you could play Polycarp in territory to search deck/reserve for one version of John, then attack with Polycarp to search deck/reserve for another copy or version of John.  Then if Polycarp survives the battle and comes back to territory, you could once again search deck/reserve for any copy or version of John    :D
If creation sings Your praises so will I
If You gave Your life to love them so will I
