I Have a Hero in HD and block with Herod Antipas and use his SA to band to Herodias. I discard the Hero in HD since I blocked with Herodias. Can I now capture another since HD is unoccupied and I am blocking with a Herod?

Yes. You can use HD at any point during the battle while you're blocking with a Herod.

I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
