Personalized Redemption Cards

How about for a fee....  you could send Rob a picture file of yourself,  and select from a menu a special ability and an identifier and you could be part of the redemption library.

If it was a small enough fee, I would probably do it.

I think this sounds like a really cool idea.  Considering the cost of printing a sheet and the time it takes I wonder if this would be realistic?

Some CCGs do that as a prize for the Nationals Winner. That would be pretty cool.

There are a lot of people (including me) who can make really good looking cards, but I like the idea of printing them.  But I really don't think it would work.  Remember, printing happens in China.....

Magic does this as well.
L5R doesn't do this exactly, but they do base decisions in the next set on the winning championship deck. Like whichever faction it is from becomes the new leader in the storyline or whatever.

I made an awsome card using one of the redemption comic book covers. Then I inverted the colors and made and evil one.

Its possible to do it,  and not have to print it in china.   It can be done in house ( its time consuming for Rob)  but if we can come up with a template, menu of abilities, and make it worth his while.   Obivously record keeping would be the key. We don't want any counterfiet cards out in the competitve environment.    The concept is we are all members of New testament living history.  We are not adding anything to scripture but we all have a part to play in God's grand design and equaully important to the Great Commision.  To that end all our efforts are recorded in Heaven untill the day He says to us " Well done thou good and faithful servent"   I don't mind connecting this privilage to a goal or some level of accomplishment.  When Sam Nurge was the president of our youth group he and my wife made me my own Redemption card for Pastor appreciation sunday.  It was very cool and well done ( including the card backing)  and I was honored and touched that they made such a big effort in creating it.   I just wanted to throw this idea out there for discussion.

it was my understanding mtg lets the winner help design a new card, not a card in his image (ie meddling mage, dark apprentice, etc).

ufs is the only ccg i know that lets the nats/worlds winners create a card in their image and is actually tournament legal to use.

It's both actually. They get to design the card and they hire an artist to illustrate their likeness on it.
