If Player A plays Pentecost, then Player B plays 7-years of Famine on their turn, is Pentecost negated when the heroes returned? I ask because the heroes are set-aside, and its my understanding that Pentecost follows, so can Famine target that draw?

Gabe said this in this thread: http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/pigs-ls-vs-pentecost/msg409376/#msg409376
The Set-Aside section of the old REG was written before the set-aside cards from Priests were released. It alludes to the fact that abilities gained from set-aside cards cannot be negated. When that section of the REG is updated it will be more clearly stated.
Abilities gained while set-aside cannot be negated after return.
That includes the draw from Pentecost.

That thread was never really resolved. Gabe said yes and Prof A and Polarius said no (SirNobody too in person). I have always played it that pigs (and likewise famine) prevents the draw of pentecost.

If Pigs/Famine/etc are active when you set the heroes aside with Pentecost, the draw will be prevented/negated. If Pentecost is played first and one of those cards is activated later, then the draw will work. The best way to stop Pentecost/set-aside-draws is to activate RBD before they return, or use Darius' Decree to discard the heroes so the set aside fizzles..

Arod is correct.
