Paul's disciples

If Paul is captured or removed from play by an opponent's card , you may underdeck this card instead.

1. Is this list correct?

Paul's disciples can instead the following abilities:

discard abilities
remove from the game
capture
underdeck , topdeck

Abilities that Paul's disciples can not instead:
ignore
withdraw
conversion

2. Can Paul's disciples instead these things?

Paul gets discarded by numbers during battle resolution by an opponent's EC

being set aside in battle ( cards like Nebby's pride , Moses kills Egyptian , Seized by Rioters)

3. If Paul's disciples were inside Goshen SA: protect contents from effect , can the instead still happen even if the card was in Goshen? (not sure if the characters can not be protected from themselves applies here??)

Paul SA: All enhancements played on Paul CBN

4. If a player had Paul in their territory and placed 2 Fruit of the Spirit enhancements on him (example kindness , Gentleness etc)

Would the abilities on the enhancements become CBN as Paul enters battle or do they need to played on him while in battle to become CBN?

1: It is correct, but not complete.

2: Not losing by numbers, but set aside, and any other ability that moves him outside of play.

3: The instead would happen and PDs would be discarded, since as you said, they can't be protected from themselves.

4: They would have to be played in battle. Abilities are CBN/CBP/CBI when played and cannot retroactively gain those modifiers.

For question 3 why discarded?? , would'nt be underdecked like the card says? or is that a default condition or something??

1. Complete list is: Capture, Discard (ability), Remove From Game, Return (to hand), Shuffle, Set-Aside, Take (to hand), Topdeck, and Underdeck.

2. Kram is correct on the current ruling, though this one I could see debate on.  If a character defeats you by the numbers, it is technically game rule that discards you, though the character is the one defeating you.  This is my understanding of the current rule, and I don't think anyone would currently argue that you could instead the discard by numbers, though I can see the logic in that as well.

3. Kram's corrected answer is correct, they can underdeck themselves as they cannot be protected against themselves.

4. Kram is correct.
