Title: Paralyze
Post by: Watchman on December 20, 2016, 10:22:43 AM
Regarding this quote from the REG in reference to a paralyze ability:

"In addition to switching locations, if either of the cards is targeted by other abilities when the exchange is carried out, the targets of those other abilities are also switched."

Is this referring to if I had, say, Moses in territory and my opponent uses The Serpent to paralyze him, and I use Noah to exchange Moses with Hosea in deck, that Hosea now assumes the paralysis?

I believe this only applies while a special ability is still targeting, or just targeted. For example, if you interrupted the battle and exchanged a character in territory for the one in battle, when the battle resumed that new character would be the target of whatever ability was interrupted if the former character had been the target.

I.e.: you can't indirectly negate a targeted battle winner by exchanging the target for a different character.
