Pale Green Panic Demon

The Pale Green Panic Demon says: If rescue attempt fails, you may place this card on a Hero in a territory. Hero cannot enter battle while this Panic Demon remains. May band to Panic Demon.

If the Panic Demon is
1) discarded
2) removed from the game
3) Set aside
4) Captured
5) Returned to Hand
can I place my the card on a hero?

I believe so.... I really don't know. Definitely not if returned to hand though... that's about all I know.

I don't think I understand the question.

Here is the way I see it:

if it is taken out of the field of battle before the end of battle then I am pretty sure that his SA is deactivated therefore it doesnt work.  So returned to hand does not work.

It also depends upon who is in battle and in what order the events happen.  Panic demon can be discarded and still work but it cant work if more enhancements are played after the discard.  For instance I can play Achans sin on my own panic demon to discard all cards in battle and then have Panic Demons SA kick in before he hits the discard pile.  But if Michael hits me with angels sword and victory and then I hit him with CM, I still go to the discard pile because the battle was over, and the block was unsuccessful after I was out of the field of battle.

also, things like TSA and CoTH would negate his SA and discard him by the numbers without his SA activating.

About the Achan's Sin example, first of all, it says remove, not discard; and second, it interrupts before it removes, so Panic Demon would be interrupted and not work.

Hey,

I believe that when a card targets itself that supersedes any defaults for where a card needs to be to be targeted.   So generally speaking the answer would be yes to all possibilities.  With one exception, and that being if it is removed from the game.  A card that has been removed from the game cannot be targeted by anything.  Capture also strikes me as strange because it would result in a captured character being placed on a hero and I'm not quite sure how that would work, but I don't see any reason why it couldn't work.

You just made me think of another question.

What would happen if I placed a the PD on my opponents hero, and then that hero got returned to their hand? would the PD follow the hero and go into their hand?

No, the hero would re-set in hand just like in the draw pile.  so the PD would probably be discarded

If the Panic Demon is

4) Captured
5) Returned to Hand
can I place my the card on a hero?

If you win the battle:
1) Yes
2) No
3) Yes
4) Yes
5) No (Cards reset in hand)
Not quite a ghost...but not quite not.
