I have a territory full of assyrian archers holding 2 thousand horses.  I send one out, he bands no another archer.  does the next archers ability then activate of does the 2k horses activate? basically if i were to band a bunch of then together would all the character abilities activate the all the 2k horses or would it be character, then 2k, then next character, then next 2k, and so on?

Is this happening in Type 2?  Otherwise I don't see how this could happen.

Archer enters battle, shoots a hero, draws 2, plays next, band, repeat.

This is the ultimate result. I'm sure someone else will bring the REG quote, but basically just remember that banding abilities happen last (even after weapons).

Banding is before choose the blocker.

I agree.  Unless a card is played that bands another hero into battle, the second archer must have banded before entering battle.

I don't remember the exact order of operations, but I was just trying to refer to this specific scenario.

CARDS WITH MULTIPLE SPECIAL ABILITIES

When a single card has more than one special ability (including gained abilities), and an order is not specified, perform the abilities in this order:

1. First, complete all printed special abilities in the order written on the card EXCEPT those that add a character to the battle.

2. Then complete all gained abilities (gained in set-aside or on previous turn, etc.), EXCEPT those that add a character to the battle.

3. Then, complete all weapon abilities.

4. Then, complete banding abilities.

5. Last, complete choose blocker abilities.
