Old vs New Text

So I was curious if there is a reference guide to older cards that don't have the specifics written on them (like Generic, Unique, Priest, High Priest, Demon, Beast, etc.) so I know what they are.

And are Syrian and Assyrian the same thing?

I am not super well versed in the bible, my brother is more-so

Syrian and Assyrian are different civilizations.  In redemption, Syrian characters are mostly gray and Assyrian characters are mostly pale green.
Life is what you make of it.

Hey Supa, if you go to the link for the REG I showed you in your original post it'll have all of what you're looking for.  Near the back of the REG you'll see definitions about certain characters and/or events, civilizations, etc.  Typically, the identifier (which is words written between the picture box and text box on the cards) will tell you more about the character (such as civilization, gender, generic, etc.), but as you mentioned some of the older cards do not have this.  That's why consulting the REG will help in this instance.  In general a character that has the word "The" in the title, or a specific named character, then that character is a UNIQUE character, whereas a character like "Pilate's Soldiers" or Assyrian Archer are generic characters as it is a general character and not a specific character from the Bible.
