Ok so I make my opponent use or they ra with a judge. I block or make them block with Abimelech. What happens?

Since repel is supposed to be played the same as ignore we both basically get free inish and cant hurt each other?

Abimelech Is the Judge repel dude.

Repel works the same as ignore. If you block a Judge with Abimelech, you are always winning, and the Judge has infinite initiative. Also, if Abimelech is in battle first, no Judges can enter battle (through banding, exchange, etc.).

Would Abs ability and all repel ability characters in general work if they are converted?

Yes. There's a special rule against being immune to/protected from yourself, but idk if Ignore is included in that. Since Abimelec is a Judge himself, it'd be a good way to set up combos if Ignoring is not part of the rule.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I'm pretty sure there is a game rule against ignoring yourself that was present before the immunity ruling. Atleast I remember being told that, not sure if it's accurate.

I've never heard of that. That one dude Ignores himself if David is in battle.

I think the ruling was that if you converted Miriam to Gold with Gold Shield, she wouldn't ignore herself because the Gold her ability refers to is evil. I don't think there's any reason why someone can't ignore themselves, aside from the fact that I'm not entirely sure how such a battle would resolve.

If my Judge is ignoring himself, Samson's Sacrifice would be pretty sweet.

Highway - "You may withdraw Hero. If this causes good enhancements to be discarded, you may return all to your hand instead (except this one)."

This is on the errata page but i dont understand why this particular wording because it would seem to me that highway could still be abused with the add another hero to battle and withdraw to continue infinite combo which i thought was the reason for such an errata anyways...
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

"Evil Character repels all Heroes with a Judges reference. • Play As: Abimelech ignores all Judges Heroes."

Is this play-as an errata? The S.A. seems to be more a "If blocking..." phrasing. Also, if they kept it as "Evil Character ignores all Judges heroes." Wouldn't that make the evil character ignore Abimelech, not Abimelech ignore himself?

I really really liked the ruling...  :-\

Well now that I know how his SA is actually worded, he doesn't work as a Hero.

True. The Play As should read: "Evil Character ignores all Heroes with a Judges reference." That way, he doesn't actually ignore Samson Promo, who is a Judge but does not have a Judges reference. And he doesn't ignore anyone as a Hero.

while we are on the topic of ignoring yourself couldnt False Prophecy do this?

Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 3 / 2 • Class: None • Special Ability: Evil Character repels any non-Prophet.

is that read as singular or plural?
Even if singular, you could use Arrogance to achieve the same thing.

that would be really strange to have both sides of battle be ignored at the same time.  how do you determine initiative?  kind of like stalemate?  are both sides defeated?

I have always read it as plural though the REG says other wise. And its better then arrogance cause well I like grey more lol

It would be a successful block if opponent is ignored too or you kill that hero.

It's good to see that even in YMT's absence, someone is here to pick up the slack. Very nice.

I think that False Prophecy refers to any (one) non-Prophet. Otherwise it would say "all non-Prophets" or just "non-Prophets".

I'm still unclear as to the ultimate effect of ignoring yourself. Yes, you are ignored, but does that necessarily mean the Hero is winning? In all other cases of ignore (with the exceptions of HHI and Three Nails/Cross Beams) a character is ignoring another character (even TGT grants the ignore ability to the TGT heroes). This is probably a good time to take this under discussion.

Quote from: The Old REG
Ignore
Ignore is a special ability that protects a card from being defeated, harmed, or affected by the ignored card. It also prevents the card with ignore from harming or affecting the ignored card.  An ignore card stops an ignored character from entering the Field of Battle. An ignore ability can be a successful blocking or rescuing card. Ignore is the same as “has no effect” and repel.
I'd say that since the hero isn't ignoring the EC, it still isn't winning, thus no infinite initiative.  But False Prophecy/Deluge of Rain would work, and your EC wouldn't be discarded.
