Prophet - Redemption - One possible role of a character (see Character’s Role and Gender) is prophet. A Prophet is any Hero or Evil Character that the Bible refers to as a prophet or who foretold the future by supernatural revelation.
Noah was foretold the coming of the end of the world as he knew it in Genesis 6.
Genesis 6:13 So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.
So would that make him a prophet?
-
All it ever says is that Noah did what was commanded of him, he didn't use the spiritual revelation of the flood to prophesy to anyone (except possibly his family). So it's possible, but I'd say it's kind of a stretch.
-
He was foretold the future, but he did not foretell it.
-
Wow, one more Sunday School myth debunked. I was always led to believe that Noah tried to convince other people to repent, but it turns out that was made up. All the Bible says is that he made the Ark and then got inside when God told him to, never mentions him preaching the end of the world.

He's a prophet in the Qur'an... ::)

He's a prophet in the Qur'an... ::)
And since we're now using works by Josephus, why not the Koran? ::)

Ooo! Joseph Smith next! I always wanted an Elephant card!

I had the same reaction. I wonder if people assumed inferred that from this verse:
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

Only if we make a magnet card...
But how do they work?

I'm sorry but I really must ask. Do you frequent the forum (which shall remain nameless) that the "MAGNETS, HOW DO THEY WORK" meme originated from?
Anyways, if that's the definition that Redemption uses, I don't think there's any choice but to have Noah as a prophet. I don't think, traditionally, that would be the case, but Noah did foretell the future (at least to his family) through spiritual revelation (God told him). I'm not sure there's a way around it, honestly. More importantly, if he is a prophet, could this be the gateway for my long-awaited Michael Scott card?

I don't see why you have to ask, but no I don't.
Side note: EVERYONE IS A PROPHET.

Exactly.

So are Abraham and Jacob. We need new blue/green versions for fun. With new abilities, because a green prophet with a play ability immediately breaks the game.
Genesis 20:7
Now return the woman to her husband, and he will pray for you, for he [Abraham] is a prophet. Then you will live. But if you don’t return her to him, you can be sure that you and all your people will die.”
Genesis 49:1
Then Jacob called together all his sons and said, “Gather around me, and I will tell you what will happen to each of you in the days to come."
Genesis 49 is full of individual prophecies of Jacob over his sons. Verse 49:10 is regarded by many as a Messianic prophecy for Judah, the ancestor of Jesus (can't remember if it was quoted in the NT, too lazy to check)

Jacob and Abraham are definitely prophets and should be reprinted Blue/Green (with no play ability) when next printed. Perhaps a Blue Abram that becomes a Blue/Green Abraham somehow (though please not by rescuing a Soul, that's a huge cost in T1).
Noah's borderline. Redemption uses a really broad definition of Prophet, but even then there's no direct evidence in Scripture Noah told anyone, not even his family. It's natural to assume that he did, but it could have been he was just like "ok, remember that crazy boat I was building with all the animals? Yeah, get in."

A blue Abram that converts to a blue/green Abraham for a decent cost would be awesome. It would also keep Abraham useful in T2 since you could have more than one copy.
It would be sweet to see reprints that utilize all possible themes for the heroes. Like a gold/green Anna or Simeon (Luke heroes). But these were probably restricted because giving prophets extra colors is encouraging Hidden Treasures abuse.

Who uses HidTreas anyway? ::)
