I was wondering if this got any name on name bonus for either Centurion @ Capernaum or Calvery? I was thinking it was Centurion @ Calvery since it's the same scripture and all but wanted to double check.

Centurion's Proclamation (Di)

This Hero has access to all Sites. • Identifiers: NT Male Human, Rome, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: Matthew 8:5 • Availability: Thesaurus ex Preteritus booster packs ()

The Centurion at Calvary (Di)

It gets NoN on the new centurion, because they have the same verse.

That is correct. It was the Centurion at Calvary with the Proclamation mentioned on both cards. I believe it also gets NoN with the Centurion from Patriarchs, but he is listed as a Generic character, so I'm not 100% sure.

Being generic matters in Name-on-Name? I thought if the card had any part of the name (Angel's Sword + Angel in the Path), it got the bonus?
I'm sorry I crammed 11 cookies in the VCR.

Name-on-name bonus is an advanced rule (see Name-on-Name Bonus in the rulebook). When this rule is in effect, an enhancement card with a person’s name in the title is worth double its abilities (*/*) when played on a character card that has the same specific person’s name in the title. Play name-on-name bonus as “person's-name-on-same-person” bonus, because there are examples in the Bible where the same person has multiple names that are reflected in Redemption®. Name-on-name bonus does not affect nor is it affected by the special abilities on cards. Characters must be specific; generic characters cannot be used for name-on-name bonus.

I just found this. So if Centurion remains a generic character (even though there was only three known Biblical centurions that could really be considered Heroes in Redemption, the two from TxP/Disciples, and Cornelius) then I guess he wouldn't receive the bonus. I don't think it will matter (I'm not sure who would play with Centurion (Pa)).

It matters greatly. I was planning an epic combo with Proclamation + Centurion (Pa).
