easy question, but if the new strong angel is banded into battle, he would be get to play an enhancement correct?  "if blocked" just means an EC is in battle, its not the act of putting an EC in battle, correct?

I would believe you gets to play an enhancement even though he's banned in.

REG
Blocking is the attempt to stop a rescue attempt or battle challenge. Only Evil Characters may block. Whenever an Evil Character enters the Field of Battle against a Hero (regardless of what point the battle is), that is considered a block.

According to your Reg quote:  "Whenever an Evil Character ENTERS the Field of Battle AGAINST a Hero."  In the example above, the hero is the one entering battle against the evil character, so that quote makes me fell like Strong Angel isn't "if blocked" because they were already there.

Blocking is the act of an EC entering battle against a hero.  "If blocked" requires the EC to enter battle after the hero - banding in a purple king doesn't trigger Throne unless an EC is added to battle after the king.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Something that's often come up is how many times is the hero blocked by a band?

Blocked one time for the band or Blocked for each evil character banded? Does TSA get to play 3 enhancements for a band of 3 ecs blocking him?

lets say you play the old 2nd seal that bands all your heroes and opponents EC into battle at the same time, would that be considered being blocked if strong was banded in?

edit: so then also if the EC bands another EC into battle while strong is in battle, you would get to play an enhancement correct?

After playing 2nd Seal, if you choose at least one evil character to enter battle AFTER Strong Angel has entered the battle, then yes you could play an enhancement off Strong Angel.  (Assuming of course that character doesn't have the opportunity to play something and kill you first).

Nevermind!   :P

I though when you band in multiple characters they all enter battle at the same time but you chose the order the abilities activate?  so if they all enter at the same time, is strong still blocked?

This is correct. Second Seal targets all characters simultaneously so they enter together and Strong is not "blocked" at that point IMO.

I'm still a little confused an evil character enters battle he's always blocking even if he's banded in? But a hero is not always being blocked especially when he's banded in? The REG says

REG
Blocking is the attempt to stop a rescue attempt or battle challenge. Only Evil Characters may block. Whenever an Evil Character enters the Field of Battle against a Hero (regardless of what point the battle is), that is considered a block.

So if strong Angel is banded into battle any evil character in battle is blocking! I'll quote the REG "blocking is the attempt to stop a rescue attempt" just because the evil character has been in battle since the beginning of the battle doesn't make him any less blocking right?

When I read that I take it to mean that the act of the EC entering the battle is when the block begins. That's when the "if blocked" ability will trigger. Presently it is ruled to trigger each time that happens.

But if the EC is already there and then the Hero enters battle, the block has already begun and an "if blocked" ability will not trigger.

Yes but when a new hero is banded into battle he is also being blocked is he not?

If not then he wins the soul!

I thought that when a hero enters battle his ability triggers. So when Strong Angels enters battle his ability would trigger because he is being blocked as well

Redemption chose to use "if" in its card language instead of "when" for some reason but either one is very different than "while". "If" in Redemption card language means when the given action occurs, in this case "if blocked" means "when a blocking evil character enters battle".

So the new Outsiders Brown/Crimson says if blocking, search for an idol. if he is banded into the battle and there are 4 hero's in the battle already he can search out 4 idols?

Why would it trigger 4 times? "If blocking, search for an idol" translates to "When this character enters battle against a Hero during a rescue attempt, search for an idol". It only enters battle once no matter how many Heroes there are so the ability triggers once and you get one idol.

I believe the current ruling is that he would get to play 3 enhancements. We are planning to review the definition for "block" for next season and possibly reworking it so that a band of multiple ECs is considered one "block," but if that did change, it would not go into effect until after Nationals.

If strong angel gets to play 3 enhancements if three evil characters are banded into battle. Then the outsider should be able to go and search out for however many Heroes that are in battle . Right?

No, both of those abilities trigger on a block, which is an evil character entering battle during a rescue attempt against a Hero. TSA triggers 3 times because an evil character enters battle 3 times (That's the logic of the current ruling although there is room for debate or a rule change on that subject). Outsiders triggers once because he is only entering battle one time. The number of Heroes has nothing to do with it whatsoever.
