To my understanding a choose the opponent ability that removes a character from battle before bringing in the chosen character is not considered a withdraw so it wouldn't be made CBN.

Lies is a CTR and Praetorium makes withdraw abilities CBN.

Choose the blocker and choose the rescuer abilities were melded into a new ability called "Choose Opponent" last year.  When this was done, any mimicking of Withdraw and Present abilities was done away with.
