If I place a card in my territory and immediately activate it can it be negated by the three woes in between the place and the activation?

If the activated part is a manually triggered ability like G Speech, yes there is a chance for a dominant to be played in between the placing and activation.

I thought that dominant cards could be played after any special ability is completed. Is placing a card considered a special ability? It doesn't sound that way in the REG

I believe what he is saying, is that G speech says place, then you may use. So if you place it and don't use it immediately then 3woes can be used to negate the ability, before it would trigger.

Placing a card absolutely is a special ability. Most of the time they are hard to negate though since they become CBN the phase after they were placed.

In the REG it sounds like when placing a card it is a place effect and I didn't realize that a place effect was considered the same as a special ability?

So you're saying that even though I place the card in my territory and then it immediately play the card he can be interrupted in between the place effect and the May play ability by the three woes?

And if that happens does the card go back into my hand because the three woes is negating the place effect?

Placing a card is a place ability which is a type of special ability. Playing it means putting the card on the table not triggering it after you've placed it. If you played it (Put it on the table) in battle and the place ability is negated, it will just stay in battle and do nothing. If you played it on a character in your territory, it will go back to that character, fizzle, and be discarded.

Your opponent can request initiative to play a dominant at any time if no other abilities are resolving. In the case of a placed enhancement with a manual trigger, the place ability has resolved and there are no other abilities that have been activated.

You would get to play a dominant before the opponent if you were the active player but when something happens, both players get a chance to play a dominant before either player can do anything else.

So after the card was placed and the three woes negated it wouldn't it just go back to my hand? It would interrupt and prevent the placing of the card right?

No, by negating the place ability the enhancement would be treated like any other TC enhancement that was played and then discarded. If the placed enhancement was played in battle, it would return to the field of battle as a negated enhancement.
