I am running silver brigade and pale green (assyrians). Lets say I'm running Protection of Jerusalem and Assyrian Camp. Would it negate each other or would I still get to use the effect of Protection while not having too discard any Assyrians. (Protection of Jerusalem- Place in your territory. Protect your good O.T. Fortresses from opponents. WHen you discard an evil Assyrian from play, you may negate and discard an evil card.) (Assyrian Camp- Protect Assyrian evil Characters in your territory from discard, conversion, and capture unless King Hezekiah is in play or set aside.)

Nope--if you are using Protection of Jerusalem and plan to discard your own Assyrians in territory to trigger it, then you don't want to be using Assyrian Camp.
-
Is there anything I can run to keep my Assyrians from being discarded even by myself?

Not sure what you're looking for... Assyrian Camp DOES keep your Assyrians from being discarded even by you.
Maybe I was not very clear with my answer, when I said "Nope" I meant that even you cannot discard your own Assyrians when you have Assyrian Camp and you can't use the effect of Protection of Jerusalem without discarding an Assyrian from play.

I've seen cards (I think its Fortresses or Sites) that keeps Heroes/Evil Characters from being discarded.

the discard for poj is a cost if you don't pay the cost aka discard your assyrian you don't get the reward from poj nice try getting around it but it doesn't work that way

my advice would be to not run angels, if your focusing on the Assyrian defense, not meaning to be rude at all with that.
but don't get me wrong, I LOVE how much angels have improved since angel wars and on a side-note as far as angels go, I must say, has received a bit of a face-lift with the I/J starter decks cards. I will say angels is not a bad theme to play on offense, but then again it's not as good as most of the other well known offenses out there like judges and TGT with disciples, I mean if angels is the offense you wanna go for then go ahead and I wish you best of luck with playing angels. though I do agree with everyone else about the topic of the question your asking.

Like The Guardian said, that's what Assyrian Camp does.
Assyrian Camp - Evil Fortress: Protect Assyrian Evil Characters in your territory from discard, conversion, and capture unless King Hezekiah is in play or set aside.
That's a blanket protect - any Assyrian Evil Characters in your territory cannot be discarded, converted, or captured by anything, even abilities you control.

Alright thanks for your help guys. Maybe I'll see ya'll at Nationals.

LoudNClear, I read your question a bit differently than others. Just for completeness here is a different answer to my interpretation of your question. (The other answers were correct; this is just hitting from a different angle.)
Protection of Jerusalem has two effects:
- Protect a good OT Fortress from opponents
- Negate and discard an evil card after discarding an Assyrian
These two effects are distinct. You can use Protection of Jerusalem to protect a good OT fortress without discarding any Assyrians.

You can always use both PoJ and Assyrian Camp, and King Hezekiah too... Since he turns off Assyrian Camp's protection.
