The High Priest's Palace says that it may hold one active unholy writ or thirty pieces of silver. I'm wondering if I'm missing anything. What would be the advantage of doing this?

So you can have an extra artifact activated, even though it doesn't mention anything about that?

Right... it does when it says "HOLDS"... that is not part of your artifact pile.

I think he thought it meant that if you happened to have one of those active as your one artifact, you could stick it in there rather than your artifact pile.

so what is the correct way to activate one of the artifacts mentioned above in highpriestpalace? Ex. Can i activate it from my artifact pile and if so does it count as my one activation per turn?

On your turn, you can activate one artifact in each Fortress that can hold an artifact, plus one on your artifact pile.
