you always play enhancements on 1 character, so just chose one and it stays on them.  weapons always stay with the character they are placed on, so if hes discarded it follows him.  much simpler that it being equipped sometimes, unequipped others, changing between characters, ect.   Weapons would only follow 2 rules:  once its played its equipped, and it stays equipped until the character is removed from play or captured

While I agree with the way we've handled equip, I'm not 100% sold on Throne and the use of "has" as meaning "equipped with." While I can see that interpretation, I could also see the interpretation that a character that has simply played a weapon in battle also "has" that weapon. For example, The Jeering Youths could play a Brown OT weapon via their ability prior to Throne triggering. Do they not have a weapon? Kinda feels like they do even if it isn't actually equipped (and never could be since they aren't WC).

Basically I'm questioning if the current Play-As for Throne is the best Play-As because I can see multiple valid interpretations. That's my  :2cents:

So again no biggie but two people who I believe and respect n the game have two different opinions on how this played. The guardian says it works. Redemption Aggie says pretty much it doesn’t. Yesterday the guardian and Gabe differed to Aggie. Should we all do the same today? Or is the there gonna be an Orcid change?

For now, the ORCID would stand and Aggie would be correct. What I'm suggesting is that maybe we need to review the entry for Throne.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Strictly speaking, prior to REG 5.1, the Play As meant Throne always triggered if a purple king was blocked, since weapons weren't equipped in battle. The change to the weapon rules makes it work, but changes the status quo.

Yeah just my opinion, I would like the Orcid and the play as to be changed. The throne is so powerful as is that a unique way of getting around it like a Nebi search for swift horses should be allowed. It is aa unlikely but clever way of getting around the throne. Pry would only happen once since rubble n dust could discard him and angel would discard him ect.

Well, to get to the outcome you want, I'm not sure if: change ToD or the way that "equip" works. Because if equip could happen the moment you play the weapon (prep or battle phases), it would get around throne, but as mentioned it gets a little, "fuzzy" in battle with multiple EC. That being said, I dont know that it would be too confusing if a player wishing to equip during combat either vocal says so or physically moves the weapon below the EC it is equiped to. Maybe test play it a few ways?

I dont think ToD is as bad as it used to be with the new Block update, either. I dont know that it's any more or less "busted" with the current equip rules.

I don't see how its hard, just say what character you are putting the weapon on and place it beneath them (at least how we play that's where they go anyway).
