I was under the impression that if banding was negated, it was like the band never happened, rather than negating.
Now this I'm a bit fuzzy on, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Because band abilities are instant abilities, I'm pretty sure interrupt the battle abilities won't effect a band - it would have to be a direct negation.
